Sam Buckingham
Founder / Personal Trainer
I founded Fitbox in 2014, in that time we have grown the business steadily over the years, we now have two personal training studios and are currently looking to expand!
I have a genuine passion for helping people change their routines for the better. I want to help people be the best version of themselves possible and I truly believe this begins with someone being in the best shape they ever have been. I’ve seen it many times, their confidence increases and that impacts every aspect of their life positively.
Having been in the fitness industry since 2012 I have come across such a variety of different people, it’s a great part of the job. The most satisfying part of the job for me is seeing our clients achieving their goals and transforming their bodies! Some clients come to us wanting to lose weight, some want to increase their muscle mass, some want to become more flexible, others are working towards a specific sport- regardless of the goal the thing I like to see the most is hard work and determination in order to get to that final product.
My vision with Fitbox is to expand and grow to help as many people as possible, our aim is to deliver highly effective personal training day in day out, our trainers will be there with you every step of the way to get you to where you want to be!

After being a football coach for many years at a high level I decided to transition into a personal training role after dedicating myself into the fitness industry helping myself get to a good level and being able to compete in the men’s physique division in the UKBFF federation.
Love seeing people grow and learn from the development of skills from training itself to the point where they are more confident and are able to really test themselves and see where they can go from a good level to the elite.

I have been working in the fitness industry for 5 years and as each year goes by, my love for helping people grows!
I have helped such a large variety of people reach their goals. From weight loss all the way to wedding prep!
The thing I love most about it, is watching people’s confidence grow and seeing them transform into the best possible version of themselves.
Regardless of the goal, experience or mindset, I will always do my best to push my clients and unlock their potential in themselves. My aim is to make my clients walk away feeling on top of the world.

After being hooked on training as soon as I was old enough to join a gym, I grew my knowledge over a few years and decided to become a PT because of the love I have for training.
I’ve been a Personal Trainer for 5 years now and I get great fulfillment out of helping people achieve their goals physically and also mentally.
My personal journey has brought me to compete in the UKUP and UKBFF federations where I qualified for the British finals and I keep pushing myself and everyone I work with to be the best they can be every day.

My interest for fitness was first sparked when I picked up some dumbbells in my dads garage at 15 years old.
9 years on, it’s safe to say that much has changed. But not everything.
I still feel the same passion and excitement for training as I did on day 1, which is why I have chosen it as a career path.
So I can transfer the knowledge I have aquired over the last 9 years and provide my clients with fitness regimes conducive to their goals.
A bit more about my knowledge and experience.
On top of being a fitness professional I am also a semi professional rugby player.
Through rugby, I have been exposed to some of the best Strength and Condtioning coaching available in sport. Which has been invaluable in developing me as a athlete and as a PT.
In addition to my rugby expeirence I am also a fully qualified level 3 personal trainer.
This enables me to develop periodised grogramming for individuals, as well as provide nutritional advice to clients looking to achieve their fitness goals in a more holsitic manner.
